and then there was a glimmer of hope and the whole world shone with sweet brilliance. I awoke one day, bathed in a newness I had once only dreamed of. I sat on my bed, cereal and spoon in one hand, and the course of miracles in the other … and I smiled. because the moment had arrived. there was peace in my bones, a grin on my face, and happiness floated along-side my window shades..
